Teaching summary
In this teaching, Pastors Leonard and Lori Rola emphasize that the believer’s union with God has completely removed separation. They explain that everything in the Christian life—healing, provision, and restoration—flows from understanding this union. The message challenges traditional teachings that focus on sin and effort, instead revealing that believers are already one with Christ. This union is not something to achieve, but something to discover and live from. As this truth becomes real, it transforms how believers see themselves, God, and their lives.

Introduction: The Power of Union
The pastors open by explaining that union with God is the most important subject in the Christian life. They emphasize that everything—healing, financial provision, relationships, protection, wisdom, and guidance—flows from this one truth: being united with God.
They define the subject clearly: union with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The focus is not just theological, but practical—understanding this union unlocks the lived experience of God’s promises.
They also introduce a key idea: anything that prevents believers from realizing their union with God will also prevent them from experiencing the reality of what that union provides.
Romans 8:11 – Resurrection Life Within Us
The teaching begins with the power of resurrection life inside the believer. Romans 8:11: “But if the Spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
They emphasize that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in believers. This is not symbolic—it is literal participation in His resurrection life.
Because of this union, believers share in what Christ experienced: restoration, renewal, and life. The pastors stress that understanding this truth is essential—what is realized inwardly becomes manifested outwardly. The restoration of the body, healing, and life itself flow from recognizing this union.
Romans 8:17 – Heirs and Co-Heirs with Christ
The next point expands on identity and inheritance. Romans 8:17: “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
They explain that union means believers are not separate from Christ—they are His offspring and heirs. Not only heirs, but co-heirs. This means everything Christ has belongs to the believer. His life, His resurrection, His glory—all are shared through union. This reinforces that believers are not striving to receive something from God—they are already included in Christ.
The Problem: Teachings That Destroy Union
The pastors address a major issue: many teachings undermine this truth of union.
They explain that traditional preaching often focuses on works, effort, and responsibility in a way that shifts the believer’s focus away from union. Another harmful belief is the idea that believers are still primarily “sinners saved by grace.” They argue that this mindset reinforces separation instead of union.
They also point out that many have been taught repeatedly that sin separates them from God, which contradicts the finished work of Christ.
John 17 – Jesus’ Prayer for Oneness
The teaching then turns to Jesus’ own words about union.
John 17:10-11: “And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.”
John 17:20-23: “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
They emphasize that Jesus prayed for believers to be one with God, as He is one with the Father. This is not partial unity—it is complete oneness. The same relationship Jesus has with the Father is now shared with believers.
Hebrews 10 – No More Consciousness of Sin
The pastors then contrast the old covenant with the finished work of Christ.
Hebrews 10:2: “For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.”
Hebrews 10:14: “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”
Hebrews 10:16-18: “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.”
They explain that Christ’s sacrifice completely removed sin as a barrier between God and man. There is no longer a need for repeated offerings. Believers have been perfected forever, and God no longer remembers their sins. This reinforces the central message: there is no longer any separation.
The Lie of Separation vs. The Truth of Union
The pastors directly challenge the belief that sin separates believers from God. They explain that while sin may affect a person’s thinking and experience, it does not undo their union with God.
Separation only exists in the mind when believers accept it as truth. The gospel message is simple: separation has been cured by union.
Living from Union: Christ Lives in You
They shift into practical application—how believers live from this truth.
Galatians 2:20: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
This verse shows that the believer’s life is no longer their own—Christ lives in them. The Christian life is not about striving but about living from the reality of Christ within.
The Reality of Oneness: One Spirit with the Lord
They reinforce the depth of this union with additional scripture. Acts 17:28: “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”
1 Corinthians 6:17: “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”
These verses show that believers exist in God and are one spirit with Him. This is a complete union—spiritually, relationally, and eternally.
Closing Revelation: Union is Discovered, Not Achieved
The teaching concludes with a powerful insight: union is not something believers achieve—it is something they discover. It is explored, experienced, and revealed over time. As believers grow in understanding, the reality of union becomes clearer and more impactful.
They encourage believers to pray for revelation and to allow the Holy Spirit to open their eyes to this truth. From this place of union flows everything—miracles, healing, provision, and transformation.
We hope this article has blessed you. This message of union with Christ is life-changing and foundational to walking in freedom and grace. If this teaching impacted you, share it with others so they too, can discover the truth that union has cured separation.
