Teaching summary

Through years of meditating on the Ephesians prayers, she learned how God's voice would speak through individual verses, reprogramming her mindset and identity in Christ. Highlighting the difference between merely reading Scripture and receiving Rhema revelation, Pastor Lori encourages believers to actively receive and declare what God says about them. The message is a stirring testimony of how God's love and power flood our innermost being and renew us completely.

Introduction: Agreement and Unity in the Word
Pastor Leonard opens by expressing love and gratitude to their viewers and the community supporting the ministry. He joyfully shares how aligned he and Pastor Lori are in faith, Word, and encouragement. Their unity is a reflection of God working in both of them simultaneously, as Leonard notes how Lori constantly speaks words of righteousness, grace, and life in their home. He introduces Lori as a powerful preacher in her own right and encourages everyone to lean in, recognizing that what’s about to be shared is not just teaching—it’s spiritual revelation for the body of Christ.
Receiving the Rhema Word
Pastor Lori begins by recounting a recent experience where both she and Leonard received revelation around the same time. She describes how last week, during one of Leonard’s teachings on “the black words on the white page” versus “the Rhema”—when God speaks directly to you—the lights turned on for her. That distinction revealed how Scripture can move from being merely read to being truly received. She recalls how this Rhema encounter gave her clarity: "Yes, that’s what it is!"
The Power of Daily Scripture Meditation
Lori shares that she has spent years reading the Ephesians prayers—chapter 1 or chapter 3—every night before bed. She attributes this practice to Rhema guidance received long ago. Over time, she noticed that while most of the reading felt like “black words on a page,” occasionally a specific verse would stand out deeply, touching her spirit. That moment, she explains, was when the Rhema Word came alive—it was God's personal communication to her. She would then stop reading, knowing she had heard directly from the Lord.
Recognizing the Voice of God in the Word
At times, the verse that touched her wasn’t in Ephesians 1, so she would move to Ephesians 3 and suddenly—“There it is.” One single verse would ignite that moment of divine connection. Lori emphasizes how amazing it is to live with this awareness of the Rhema Word and how personal God’s voice can be when He speaks through Scripture.
Hebrews 4:12 and the Penetrating Word
Pastor Lori references one of her favorite verses:
Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
She explains this as the Word reaching into the very core of your being, to where the soul and spirit meet. That is why the Word changes us—it doesn’t just affect behavior; it goes deeper than that.
Rhema as Spirit and Life — John 6:63
Lori continues with another powerful verse:
John 6:63
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
She explains that without these life-giving words, she doesn’t know where she would be. It is this Rhema Word that gives life to her innermost being.
Reprogrammed by the Word — Ephesians 4:23-24
The Word doesn’t just touch us; it changes our programming. Lori quotes:
Ephesians 4:23-24
“And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
She expands on this by explaining how God’s Word reprograms even the subconscious mind, shifting how we see ourselves. This truth had been unfolding in her spirit, and now it was also coming to Leonard—evidence of their spiritual unity.
Declaring the Ephesians 3 Prayer as Identity
Two weeks before this message, Lori recounts how she sat down to pray Ephesians 3 again, and the Lord interrupted her and said: “You’ve been praying this for years. Don’t pray it. You are it.” She was told to read it positively, as a declaration of identity. So she began to read and personalize:
Ephesians 3:16-20 “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love…” But instead of praying for these things, she began saying: “Unveiled in me is the unlimited riches of Your glory… I am perfected… I am favored… I am strengthened… I am flooded with explosive power…”
This shift changed her walk. It became not just a belief but an embodiment.
Revelation and Overflow from God's Love
Lori continues: “I constantly use my faith, which is the faith of Jesus, because He lives in me.”She emphasizes that it’s not her trying to believe harder—it’s His perfect faith alive in her. She shares how: “The resting place of His love has become the very root source of my life.” From that place, she declares she knows the breadth, length, depth, and height of God’s love, and that: “I am filled and overflowing with the fullness of God.” This reality isn’t something she’s striving for—it’s something she already has.
Final Encouragement: Proceeding in Peace by Rhema
Lori closes by sharing her excitement. The first time she read the personalized Ephesians 3 prayer aloud, she could hardly contain herself. She couldn’t wait to share it with Leonard the next day. She compares it to when God gave Leonard a Rhema word that said, “Proceed with peace. You will live and not die.”
These Rhema moments aren’t suggestions—they’re truth. And when the Lord tells you something, she says, “I believe it. This is me.”
She finishes with: “Oh, this is good. I never doubt.”
We hope this article blessed you. Pastor Lori’s message on receiving and declaring the Rhema Word reminds us that God’s voice is personal, present, and powerful. Let this message encourage you to not just read Scripture but to receive it as God speaking directly to you. Share this teaching with someone who needs to hear how deeply God loves them—and how His Word transforms from the inside out.
