Teaching summary

In this powerful message, Pastor Lori Rola shares the deeply personal journey of how God's Word came alive for her through the experience of receiving a "Rhema word"—a specific, living word from God. Drawing from Ephesians and Philippians, she explains how God's love is immeasurable, ever-present, and the source of our identity. Pastor Lori emphasizes that we are already filled with the fullness of God, energized by His power, and established in righteousness. Through practical affirmations and daily bullet-point prayers, she encourages believers to internalize these truths and live in the joy of knowing who they are in Christ.

Bible verses referenced

  • Ephesians 3:19-20- And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

  • Philippians 4:6-8- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Introduction: A Message Worth Hearing Again

Pastor Leonard Rola begins the message by welcoming viewers and expressing gratitude for their support of the ministry. He announces that they are rebroadcasting a previously shared message because many people missed it the first time. He emphasizes the importance of the message for the body of Christ and encourages viewers to participate live through comments.

The Resting Place of His Love

Pastor Lori begins by sharing a powerful passage she had been meditating on. She speaks of living from “the resting place of his love”, describing it as the very source of her life. She declares, “That’s who I am. That’s where I am. That’s where I live. That is me.” She continues with the depth of God’s love:

Ephesians 3:19: And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

She explains that she cannot measure His love—it transcends understanding. This love pours into her until she is “filled and overflowing with the fullness of God.”

Ephesians 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Her reaction was one of awe, recalling how she couldn’t wait to share the revelation with Leonard. This wasn’t just scripture—it was living and personal.

The Rhema Word Comes Alive

She explains how the passage became her Rhema word—alive and specific for her. It wasn't just general encouragement; it was God speaking directly to her. She recited, “I never doubt your mighty power to work in me and accomplish all this… You exceed my wildest imagination. You energize me constantly.”

She refers to this moment as divine. “That’s what he told me to say,” she affirms.

Philippians 4: Living Without Anxiety

When Pastor Leonard faced challenges, Lori said she was drawn to Philippians 4:6-8, first reading the black letters on the page—then receiving the living word.

Philippians 4:6: Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

She explained how God told her: “You’re not anxious. You don’t have to hope you won’t be anxious—you’re not.” That revelation shifted how she read scripture. She declared boldly, “I’m saturated in prayer,” not just occasionally, but all day.

She emphasizes praying with thanksgiving:

Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

She shared how she thanked God even before seeing the answers—“I thank you that the answers are coming.”

Philippians 4:8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Lori acknowledged that this verse was hard to focus on at times, especially during the winter. But one part stood out: “I fasten my thoughts on every glorious work of God.”

Mirror Translation and the Revelation of Righteousness

Curious about the verse in a different translation, she referenced the Mirror Study Bible, which described Philippians 4:8 as: “I consider that which is true about everyone as evidenced in Christ. I live overwhelmed by God's opinion of me.”

This overwhelmed her. She repeated, “I live overwhelmed by God’s opinion of me.” She added, “I acquaint myself with the revelation of righteousness.” Then declared: “I make it my business to declare mankind’s redeemed innocence. I am God’s limelight.”

She was stunned by how this version made the truth even more personal. “I ponder how elevated I am in Christ,” she said, struck by the idea.

Seeing Others Through the Eyes of Jesus

A reflection came to her: “What if everyone saw me like Jesus—no recollection of wrongs?” No past mistakes remembered—only love. Then she flipped the thought: “What if I saw everyone that way?”

She imagined what life would be like if we looked at people through Jesus’ eyes, forgetting any wrongs they’d done. Her conclusion: “Awesome. It would be definitely awesome.”

Bullet Points of Identity

Pastor Lori explains that she started writing down these revelations as daily bullet points. One of them reads: “God’s miraculous power constantly energizes me.” Each day, she speaks them aloud with Leonard. For example: “We stand fast in the fullness of our union with the Lord.”

Another point she declares: “I am not pulled in different directions or worried about a thing.” These affirmations became daily truth-statements about her identity in Christ. She excitedly shares, “I've got like two months worth of bullet points… on who I am. It's awesome.”

The Word is Alive—Take It as Yours

She finishes by saying the Word truly is alive. What began as reading turned into revelation. The Lord revealed to her: “It’s the Rhema.”

Lori explains: You don’t need to achieve anything—it’s already who you are. You don’t need to earn these truths. Just take them.

“My prayer is that you will take the Rhema word… make the word who you are. You don’t have to achieve—it’s who you are right now. Take it. Take it. Amen.”

We hope this article blessed you. Share this teaching with someone who needs encouragement today. Let the living Word of God transform not just your thoughts—but your entire identity in Him. You are His limelight, and His love is endless. Take the Rhema. It's who you are.
