Teaching summary

In this session of Positioned in Readiness, Pastor Leonard and Pastor Lori Rola teach that believers are not divided between covenants but live in the finished reality of the New Covenant. They explain that the old dividing wall between law and grace has been removed and that our minds are being renovated into spacious freedom. The central focus of this message is that we have been gifted Jesus Himself—therefore, we have His perfect faith. Because we are united with Christ, everything He is and has—including His faith—has been deposited within us.

Introduction: Gratitude and the Greatest Memorial

Pastor Leonard and Pastor Lori begin by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the viewers and supporters of the ministry. They reflect on Memorial Day, honoring those who gave their lives for freedom. Yet they shift the focus to the greatest memorial of all—the day Jesus Christ gave His life for humanity. They encourage listeners to revisit Sunday’s message about the true memorial: Christ’s sacrifice.
This sets the tone for the session—remembering what Christ accomplished and living in the reality of that finished work.

No More Dividing Wall: Renovated Minds in the New Covenant

Pastor Leonard discusses the concept of rightly dividing the Word and references
2 Timothy 2:15- "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
He explains that in Paul’s time, there were two gospels being preached: one of law and circumcision, and one of faith in Christ. Paul spoke of a dividing line, but Pastor Leonard emphasizes that under the New Covenant, the wall should no longer exist.

He connects this with
Romans 12:2- "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
He explains that the word “renewing” implies renovation. Just like a home remodeled into an open floor plan, our minds are being renovated into spacious freedom. The dividing wall of law and works has been removed. The Old Covenant has been nailed to the cross and disannulled.

He reinforces this freedom with
Galatians 5:1- "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage."
Believers are called to live in the open, renovated space of grace, not in the cramped room of religious bondage.

Positioned in Readiness: Ready for Anything

Pastor Leonard reminds listeners that this message is part of the “Positioned in Readiness” series. Being positioned means being ready for anything that comes in a fallen world. He references how Jesus said tribulation would come, but He has overcome.
He shares personally about facing cancer and being positioned in readiness through truth. Nothing can “stick” when one is positioned in Christ’s righteousness and finished work.

Position Three: I Have His Perfect Faith

The central revelation of this session is the third position: “I have His perfect faith.”

He reads Romans 8:32-"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"
If God gave us Jesus, He gave us everything Jesus is and has. Nothing was withheld. Just as in marriage nothing of a spouse is withheld, when the Father gifted us Jesus, everything that Jesus is came with Him.

He then reinforces this with 2 Corinthians 1:20- "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."
All promises are fulfilled in Him—and we are in Him.

United With Christ: Jesus in Us and We in Him

Pastor Leonard explains the dual reality: Christ in us and we in Christ. He teaches that believers were united with Christ in death and resurrection.

He references Romans 6:4- "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
We were united with Him in burial and resurrection. When the Father looks at us, He sees Jesus. When we look into the mirror of the Word, we see Jesus.

He declares 1 Corinthians 6:17- "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit."
Because we are one spirit with Him, we have His faith. If He has perfect faith, and we are one with Him, then we possess His perfect faith.

The Same Spirit That Raised Christ

Pastor Leonard explains that many verses once covered his walls during his illness, but one truth remained foundational—union with Christ.

He declares Romans 8:11- "But if the Spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
The same Spirit that raised Jesus lives in believers. That Spirit revitalizes, renews, and restores. This is not striving; it is the fruit of union.

Freely Given: We Have Received His Spirit

Pastor Lori reads 1 Corinthians 2:12- "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."

We have received His Spirit, not the spirit of the world. Therefore, we can know what has been freely given. Freely given means ownership. God does not give and take away. If Jesus was given, His faith was given. Faith is not something to struggle to produce; it is already present because Jesus is present.

Jesus the Author and Finisher of Faith

Pastor Lori reads Hebrews 12:2-"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Jesus is the author, perfector, and finisher of faith. He endured the cross for joy. That joy was us—our righteousness and justification. His perfect faith trusted the Father to justify all who would believe. Because He lives in us, we share in that same joy and that same faith.

Pastor Leonard also references 2 Corinthians 3:18- "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
As we behold Jesus, we are transformed into the same image. Fixing our eyes on Him activates the reality of His perfected faith within us.

Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus and Walking in Victory

The session concludes by emphasizing that when we fix our eyes on Jesus, we see ourselves in Him. The faith we need is not external—it is already inside us. Because we are united with Christ, everything becomes fruit: peace, healing, endurance, righteousness. We walk in victory not by striving but by standing in who we already are.
Pastor Lori closes by reminding viewers: we have the faith of the Son of God within us.

We hope this article blessed you and strengthened you in the truth that you have been gifted Jesus—and with Him, His perfect faith. Share this teaching with others who need encouragement and continue standing in the liberty where Christ has made you free.
