Teaching summary
In this teaching, Pastors Leonard and Lori Rola emphasize that healing and transformation are not the result of human effort, but the natural result of union with Christ. They explain that believers are already one with Jesus, as branches connected to a vine, and everything needed flows from Him into them. The message challenges the idea of striving, “journeys,” and performance-based faith, replacing it with rest and understanding of God’s love. Through scripture and examples, they show that healing comes from Christ’s compassion and not from doing everything “right.” The focus is on growing in the revelation of God’s love and living from that union.

Introduction: Freedom from Guilt, Shame, and Condemnation
Pastor Leonard begins by expressing the heart behind the message: to lead believers into freedom, miracles, and their true identity in Christ without guilt, shame, or condemnation. He emphasizes that God never places these burdens on His children. Instead, God’s focus has always been on the finished work of His Son, not on human effort.
The only “labor” believers are called to is rest. Grace declares that everything has already been done by Jesus. This sets the foundation for the entire teaching: the Christian life is not about striving but about resting in what Christ has accomplished.
The Power Within: The Spirit That Raised Christ
Pastor Leonard highlights the power available to believers through the indwelling Holy Spirit.
|Romans 8:11- "But if the Spirit of him that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
He explains that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in believers. That same power is actively working to revitalize, renew, and restore them. This is not something believers must activate through effort—it is already functioning because of their union with Christ.
This truth was deeply real to the Apostle Paul, which is why he endured extreme hardships without fear. Paul understood that the life of Christ was within him.
The Revelation of Union: The Vine and the Branches
Pastor Lori shares a powerful revelation from John 15 about the vine and the branches.
John 15:5- "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
She explains that understanding this union is the key. The branch does not produce fruit by effort—it simply receives from the vine. Everything that is in the vine flows naturally into the branch.
This revelation shifted her perspective: everything believers need—healing, peace, love—is already flowing from Christ into them. They are not separate; they are one with Him.
Naturally Bearing Fruit: Effort vs. Flow
The pastors emphasize the word “naturally.” Fruit is not forced; it is the result of connection.|
Pastor Lori describes how, just like sap flows through a vine into branches, everything in Christ flows into believers. Healing, peace, and love are not produced by effort—they are the natural outcome of union.
She explains that she is “doing nothing.” The branch does not strive—it simply remains connected. Life comes from the vine. This completely removes the pressure of performance. There is no need to figure out what is being done wrong. The focus shifts to understanding and remaining in union.
Rethinking Healing: Not a Journey of Effort
Pastor Leonard challenges the common idea of healing as a long “journey.”
He defines a journey as a long, extended process and warns that many believers unconsciously accept this mindset. They begin to expect healing to take a long time. He contrasts this with the Gospels, where healing was immediate. He searched for examples of healing as a long process and found none.
Instead of instant results, many teachings focus on what believers must do: believe more, speak more, command more, plant and water the Word. This creates a cycle of effort and frustration. He explains that this approach turns healing into work, which contradicts grace.
The Example of the Leper: Compassion Over Performance
Pastor Lori reads the account of the leper.
Mark 1:40-42- "And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and said unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed."
They point out several important truths:
The leper did not come in perfect faith. He was unsure if Jesus was willing. He came in desperation, not confidence. He did not meet the “requirements” often taught today. Yet Jesus healed him anyway. Why? Because of compassion. This shows that healing is not based on doing everything right. It is based on the love and compassion of Jesus. The leper’s imperfections did not disqualify him.
Rooted in Love: The True Source of Healing
Pastor Leonard connects this to Paul’s teaching.
Ephesians 3:17-19- "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God."
He explains that the key is not doing more but understanding more—specifically, understanding God’s love. It was Jesus’ love that healed the leper, not the leper’s performance. Likewise, healing today flows from the same love. Believers are encouraged to grow in their understanding of that love, because everything flows from it.
Guarding Your Mind: Truth That Brings Freedom
The pastors warn about teachings that produce guilt, shame, or condemnation. These are not from God. They emphasize the importance of focusing on truth.
John 8:32- "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Jesus Himself is the truth, and His grace brings freedom. Any message that leads to feeling inadequate or not doing enough contradicts this truth. Believers must be careful about what they allow into their minds.
Final Encouragement: You Are Doing Nothing Wrong
The message concludes with a powerful statement: believers are not doing anything wrong. Their role is not to strive, fix, or perform. Their role is to deepen their understanding of God’s love.
They are already connected to the vine.
2 Corinthians 1:21- "Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;"
God Himself has established believers in Christ. This union is secure and unchanging.
The final encouragement is simple: focus on how much God loves you. Everything else flows from that.
We hope this article has blessed you. Share this teaching with others so they, too, can experience the freedom, rest, and healing that comes from understanding their union with Christ and His perfect love.
