Teaching summary

In this message, Pastors Leonard and Lori Rola explore the powerful question: “How much is enough?”—pointing to the finished work of Jesus Christ. They emphasize that Jesus fulfilled the entire will of God perfectly, removing the burden from believers to strive or earn righteousness. Through His suffering, death, and resurrection, everything humanity could ever need was fully accomplished. The believer’s role is not to work harder, but to rest in Christ’s finished work and grow in understanding of God’s love.

Introduction: Gratitude, Connection, and the Grace Journey

Pastor Leonard and Pastor Lori begin by expressing gratitude and love for their audience, emphasizing the importance of walking together in the grace journey. They highlight how meaningful it is to grow in revelation, understanding, and closeness to God alongside others.

They stress that the relationship is mutual—while many believe God led them to the pastors, the pastors believe God led them to the people. They regularly pray for individuals by name, standing in agreement for the release of God’s power already within them.

The Power Within: Rivers of Living Water

The pastors emphasize that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives within every believer. Their prayer is for that power to be revealed and released in each person’s life.
They reference Jesus’ words: John 7:38: "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."
They explain that this “river” represents everything a person could need—healing, provision, restoration, and peace. The source is not external; it is already within.

Hebrews 10:7 – Jesus Fulfilled the Will of God

The central verse of the message is: Hebrews 10:7: "Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God."

This verse reveals that Jesus alone came to fulfill the will of God completely. Every requirement, every demand, and every prophetic word was fulfilled by Him—not by us. This understanding shifts everything. The covenant is between the Father and the Son, making it flawless and unbreakable.

Freedom from Striving, Guilt, and Condemnation

Because Jesus fulfilled everything, believers are no longer responsible for earning righteousness or maintaining it through effort.
The pastors explain that striving leads to guilt, shame, and condemnation because people feel they are never doing enough. But Hebrews 10:7 removes that burden entirely—Jesus did it all.
This truth eliminates the constant pressure of “I haven’t done enough” or “I’m falling short.”

The Question: How Much Is Enough?

Pastor Leonard introduces a powerful question: “How much is enough?”
He uses everyday examples—sports games where one team dominates, or the “mercy rule” in little league baseball—to illustrate the concept of excess.
This leads to a deeper question: When it comes to Jesus’ suffering, how much would have been enough?

The Suffering of Jesus: Total Payment for Everything

The pastors vividly describe the suffering of Jesus—beating, mocking, whipping, crucifixion—and repeatedly ask, “How much is enough?” They emphasize that even one drop of Jesus’ blood would have been sufficient. Yet He endured everything.
Why?
To fully accomplish the will of God and take upon Himself:

  • All sin
  • All sickness
  • All pain
  • All shame
  • All suffering
    Nothing was left undone.

“It Is Finished

Jesus’ declaration of “finished” signifies that everything was completed—nothing remained. All that humanity could ever experience was placed on Him, and when He died and was buried, it was all taken away. The resurrection proves that everything was dealt with and left behind.

Union with Christ: Becoming One with Him

Through belief in Jesus, believers are united with Him and become one with Him. This means they share in His righteousness, His life, and His victory.
The pastors explain that God now “reaps many sons”—people who are raised to newness of life, just like Jesus.

They reinforce this with: Galatians 2:20- "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

Living from Completion, Not Effort

Because everything is finished, believers are not working toward something—they are living from something already completed.
All of God’s promises are “yes and amen” because of Jesus.
There is no need for effort, striving, or trying to earn blessings. Everything has already been secured.

The Believer’s Responsibility: Rest and Understanding

Pastor Lori emphasizes that the believer’s responsibility is simple:
–To rest.
-To experience peace.
-To grow in understanding of what Jesus has already done.

There is no pressure to perform or produce results. Jesus fulfilled the will of God, and the Father ensures the promises are carried out.

Growing in Love, Revelation, and the Power Within

The message concludes by emphasizing growth in understanding God’s love. As believers grow in revelation, the power within them begins to manifest naturally—bringing healing, provision, and transformation.
This is not forced; it flows from knowing who they are in Christ and resting in His finished work.
