Teaching summary
In this teaching, Pastor Leonard explains that healing is already provided through Jesus Christ and is meant to spring forth from within believers. He encourages listeners to reject guilt and condemnation that says they are not healed because they “don’t have enough faith.” He teaches that faith rises from within through hearing about Christ, seeing Jesus, and realizing God’s love, and that healing often manifests as we come into agreement with what God is saying. Pastor Lori closes with communion, celebrating our participation in Christ’s body and blood.

Welcome, Gratitude, and Ministry Updates
Pastor Leonard opens by greeting everyone and sharing that he hopes the audience enjoyed the worship service. He mentions that Pastor Lori chose the worship songs because they are favorites of hers, and that they help her as she ministers to and for the Lord.
He then thanks the listeners for their encouragement through letters, messages, and emails, and he repeatedly expresses heartfelt gratitude for the offerings and gifts that keep the ministry going and growing. He points viewers to their website, describing it as highly informative with previous teachings, links to YouTube and Facebook, communication options, church directions, and giving links.
He highlights a newer giving option called Zephy, explaining why they are excited about it: 100% of what is given goes to the ministry with no administrative costs taken out for handling transactions. He reiterates that the website contains the information needed for teaching, schedules, communications, and giving.
The Message Focus: “Be Healed
Pastor Leonard shares that the Lord has been ministering to him and has placed this message on his heart. He emphasizes that he takes his words very seriously and wants what comes from his mouth to be directly from the Holy Spirit.
He explains his desire for the message to bless, encourage, strengthen, and help believers in their “earth walk.” He specifically wants to help people release the power within them, the miracles within them, and the blessings within them.
He describes his love for personal connection and mentions he has recently spoken with people across the Atlantic Ocean in England, and also across the United States in places like Chicago, Illinois, along with many other locations. He says their communications are a blessing and encouragement to him, and he expresses that he feels God did not merely lead people to him, but that God led him to them.
He then introduces the theme: he titled the message “be healed” or “receive what’s yours,” and he frames it as receiving what is already yours from within. He acknowledges that many people, when asked what they need most, will say they are looking for physical healing. They know the power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in them, but they want that power to spring forth from within and work through their earthly bodies, bringing healing that they know is theirs and that was provided by Jesus through His finished work.
Heroes of Faith: Encouragement Through Real People
Pastor Leonard shares that God has put heroes in his life, and he begins with what he calls his number one hero on earth: his wife, Pastor Lori. He says that after the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Lori is his greatest hero. He explains that she helps him see Christ and envision Jesus because she is so much like Him. He describes her as giving, caring, victorious in her walk, and someone who uplifts him and speaks words of righteousness, healing, and financial blessing into his life. He says she emulates Jesus and that there is nothing she wouldn’t do for him.
He then speaks about other heroes: his mom, describing her as a real hero. He shares that there are times she is physically ailing and hurting, yet he has never heard a complaining word from her. Instead, she praises and worships Jesus and speaks about her love for Him because of His love for her. He says she is strong in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and brings encouragement to him and Pastor Lori.
He also calls his mother-in-law a hero, explaining that after 61 years of marriage, she lost her husband, Pastor Leonard’s father-in-law, who was another hero in his life. Yet he says he never hears his mother-in-law complain either; he hears her talk about how good God is and sees in her example what an “earthwalk” looks like.
He continues by describing his children as heroes and specifically names his daughter Allison, saying she is a huge hero and a blessing to many listeners. He notes that many people found Pastor Lori and him through Allison. He describes how, when he listens to her, he senses God’s love for him because she speaks of God’s love like no one else he knows, including himself. He describes her as reflecting a love for God that he has not seen in many people.
He expands beyond family, saying God has put heroes into his life around the world: in England, the Netherlands, India, Pakistan, Canada, and many states across the U.S. He describes one sister in England who has waited 28 years for her healing to manifest in her body, and he calls her his hero because she encourages him even as she seeks encouragement. He mentions a brother in the Netherlands, whom he loves talking with and praying with. He mentions heroes in India and Pakistan who have needs yet encourage and uplift others. He mentions a hero in Canada, whom he sees every Wednesday night, who brings joy to his life. He lists heroes in Texas, Missouri, Illinois (including someone in Chicago he calls one of his biggest heroes), Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and a relationship in Fishkill, New York. He calls them all his heroes and says he is encouraged and strengthened when he talks with them.
Removing Guilt, Shame, and Condemnation Around Healing
Pastor Leonard transitions to a concern: he says he hears ministers tell people things like “you have to have faith,” “you have to believe,” “you have to command,” and “you have to use your authority.” He responds by telling his listeners that he knows his “heroes” already possess faith, already believe, already know how to make a stand, and already understand authority.
He then explains that one of the things he and Pastor Lori are adamant about is relieving guilt, shame, and condemnation that has been put on people by others who say, “You’re not healed because you don’t believe,” “You’re not healed because you’re not using your faith,” or “You’re not healed because you’re not commanding or standing.” He says he knows in the lives of his heroes that those accusations are the furthest thing from the truth.
His intention in teaching about healing again is to encourage, not burden. He wants listeners to understand how healing comes and to receive encouragement rather than condemnation.
How Faith Springs Forth: Hearing, Seeing, and Love
Pastor Leonard lays out what he calls the first and foremost thing: faith. He teaches that the faith needed to walk in and come into agreement with comes by hearing—hearing about Christ, hearing the words about Christ, hearing the words of Christ, or from Christ.
He references Romans 10:17: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” He presents this as the foundation for how faith comes and how faith springs forth.
He then points to Acts 10:38: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” He explains that when Peter went to Cornelius’s house, led by the Holy Spirit, Peter spoke about Jesus and how He went about doing good and healing all. Pastor Leonard emphasizes that the people had heard about Jesus, and that hearing matters because faith comes by hearing.
Next, he teaches that faith springs forth by seeing—by envisioning Jesus. He cites Hebrews 12:2: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” He tells listeners to fix their eyes on Jesus because Jesus is the author, completer, and finisher of faith.
As he connects this, he also cites First John 4:17: “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” He explains that if “as He is, so are we in this world” is true, then as we put our eyes on Jesus, faith springs forth, and faith is perfected and finished, because we are seeing ourselves as we truly are by seeing Jesus as He is.
He then confirms this with Second Corinthians 3:18: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” He explains that Paul exhorts believers to come to the mirror and behold the glory of the Lord as in a mirror. He explains that a mirror reflects, so you are seeing your reflection—your true inner being—and as you behold that image, you are changed into that image from glory to glory by the Holy Spirit. He uses this to reinforce that faith comes by seeing.
Then he adds a third major point: faith is energized by love. When love is realized, faith springs forth from within and is energized to take hold of it and walk in agreement with God. He cites Galatians 5:6: “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.” He emphasizes that faith is energized and revealed through love.
He further develops this point by referencing Ephesians 3:14-21 as Paul’s prayer. He cites the passage as Paul bowing his knees before the Father, praying that Christ may dwell in believers’ hearts by faith, that they would be rooted and grounded in love, and that they would come to know the dimensions of Christ’s love—height, depth, width, breadth, and length. He emphasizes that knowing how much God loves you is connected to the release of the power within you. He points to the closing of the passage as the declaration that God can do far beyond what we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.
He quotes the heart of it by returning to the full passage: Ephesians 3:14-21: “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” “Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,” “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;” “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,” “May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;” “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” “Now unto him that can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”
The Key Emphasis: Agreement With Faith
Pastor Leonard then emphasizes what he wants to focus on: when faith does come—when faith rises from within us through hearing, seeing, and the revelation of love—we must come into agreement with it.
He defines faith as walking in agreement with God and walking in agreement with what God has shared with us. He says that when faith rises, we must cooperate with it. He explains that many people may be waiting for someone else to do something, or waiting for God Himself to come and do, even though God has already spoken and faith has risen. His emphasis is that agreement matters because agreement is what faith is.
Example One: The Woman With the Issue of Blood
Pastor Leonard gives the first example: the woman with the hemorrhage (issue of blood). He references Mark 5:25-28 and calls attention to her twelve-year struggle and how it got worse after going from doctor to doctor. He notes she spent everything she had.
He points out the key: she heard about Jesus. He cites the exact KJV wording where it appears, emphasizing hearing and speaking: Mark 5:25-28: “And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,” “And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,” “When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.” “For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.”
He emphasizes that faith comes by hearing, and when she heard about Jesus’s healing power and heard that people were being healed by touching Him, faith rose up and instructed her. He explains that when she came into agreement with that faith, faith “took over,” and she kept saying what faith led her to say.
He specifically highlights that she spoke rather than merely thought, and he encourages listeners to position themselves in quietness, rest, worship, and prayer so they can hear the voice of God. He says hearing comes first, then faith rises, and then speaking follows in agreement with what faith is leading you to do.
Example Two: The Paralytic Let Down Through the Roof
Pastor Leonard moves to the paralyzed man who was let down through the roof. He references Mark 2:1-5 and Mark 2:11-12 and tells listeners to read it. He also adds background commentary that it was Jesus’s home in Capernaum and that the owner of the house was not upset when the roof was opened because it was Jesus.
He emphasizes the principle again: when faith rises, we need to walk in agreement with it. He focuses on the moment where Jesus tells the man to rise, take up his bed, and walk. He cites the KJV words directly: Mark 2:11-12: “I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.” “And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it in this fashion.”
He explains that the man could have stayed lying there, waiting for Jesus to physically lift him, but that is not what happened. Jesus gave the command, the man heard the voice, faith rose from within him, and he decided to walk in agreement with faith—so he got up.
Pastor Leonard teaches that sometimes people wait for someone else to come do something, or wait for God to do what He already instructed them to respond to. He says healing virtue and healing power may not flow until we step into agreement: try, move, squirm, get up, sit up, stand up. His point is that agreement with the voice of God is central because that is what faith does.
Example Three: The Man Crippled From Birth at the Gate Beautiful
Pastor Leonard then references the account in Acts of the man crippled from birth. He cites Acts 3:1-2 and Acts 3:4-8, encouraging listeners to read it.
He describes Peter and John going to the temple, passing the gate called Beautiful, and encountering the man who was laid there daily to beg for alms. He then cites the KJV passage that includes the exchange and the miracle: Acts 3:1-2: “Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.” “And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple.”
He explains that the man fixed his eyes on Peter and John, expecting something. Pastor Leonard then cites the core KJV section: Acts 3:4-8: “And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.” “And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.” “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise and walk.” “And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.” “And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.”
Pastor Leonard uses this to reinforce hearing and seeing again: faith comes by hearing, faith comes by seeing, faith becomes energized, and then we must walk in agreement with it. He emphasizes that the man played a vital part: he came into agreement with the faith birthed within him, he responded, and he got up.
He then tells a story to illustrate agreement: a man in a flood prays for God to save him, but refuses help from a motorboat and then a helicopter because he says he is “waiting for God.” He ends up drowning and then complains to God, and God explains that He sent a boat and a helicopter. Pastor Leonard’s point is that God may send a means, a word, or a direction, and we must come into agreement with what God is providing rather than refusing it while claiming we are “waiting.”
He applies this to healing by saying that fear, anxiety, and worry can pull us out of agreement with faith. He urges listeners that when they hear God’s voice and know it is God, they must walk in agreement with it. When they do, faith will take over, the Jesus within them will take over, and the power within them will take over.
Pastor Leonard’s Testimony: Proceeding in Peace and Strength From Within
Pastor Leonard then shares his personal testimony of receiving a diagnosis or prognosis of cancer with only a 2% chance of survival.
He describes what he did at first as what “every good Christian” does: putting up verses, commanding, demanding, using authority, believing, and having faith. But he then explains he began listening specifically to messages about Jesus, fixing his mind and soul on the fact that Jesus loved him, and resting in worship, prayer, and the Word.
He says God’s word came to him: “You will live and you will not die,” “you will not miss a Sunday service or Saturday school day,” and “proceed with peace.” He explains that instead of sitting and waiting, he proceeded in peace in agreement with what God spoke.
He explains that as he proceeded, faith took over. He describes knowing what the anointing feels like and says believers have the same anointing within them. He describes being extremely weak, tired, and losing 74 pounds, and even says that his wife—who is filled with faith—was convinced he was not going to make it. But he says he was not thinking in terms of “I won’t make it”; he simply came back to what God’s word said and came into agreement again.
He describes Saturday or Sunday arriving and him saying, “I’m getting up and getting ready,” and then something taking over: the anointing took over, faith took over. He describes being surprised at the strength that came from within—coming from God within him. He also shares that after the service or school day was over, he would go home and jump into bed, but the word was still true, and he still had to agree with it.
He emphasizes the practical cooperation: he had to swing his legs over the side of the bed, stand up, go to the bathroom, shave, shower, and get ready. As he did those actions in agreement with God, faith took over, and the anointing took over.
He then cites Acts 17:28: “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.” He applies it directly, saying it is in Him we live, move, and have our being.
He also cites Galatians 2:20: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” He emphasizes “the faith of the Son of God” and highlights that it is connected to Christ’s love: He loved me and gave Himself for me.
Pastor Leonard returns to his earlier pattern: you hear, you see, you know you’re loved, you rest, you worship and praise, you hear God’s word, and then you enter into agreement with that word. He describes this agreement as getting up, taking the shower, shaving, getting to church, and doing what faith instructs you to do. He connects this again to the examples: the woman heard, faith rose, she spoke and moved toward Jesus; the men brought the paralytic, and Jesus said rise, so agreement required getting up; the crippled man at the gate responded and leapt.
He then again references God doing beyond what we can ask or think according to the power working within us, tying it back to the teaching that this is not you trying to create it on your own. It is faith rising as we hear and see and gain revelation of God’s love.
He then cites Romans 6:4-5: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” “For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:” He uses this to say that once we say yes to Jesus Christ, we become united with Him, one with Him, and “as He is.”
He connects this again to seeing Jesus and seeing ourselves as He is, and says when belief intensifies because faith rises, people do the unthinkable, the improbable, and the impossible—because they heard, they saw, they know they are loved, the voice of God speaks, and they come into agreement with it.
Encouragement and a Recent Healing Testimony
Pastor Leonard expresses hope that the message has blessed the listeners. He says he loves them, and he is looking for testimonies.
He then shares a recent testimony: someone Pastor Lori and he had been praying for and ministering to had cancer that was in the lymph nodes. He mentions there was a tumor described as 15 cm and acknowledges he doesn’t know centimeters well, but believes it is significant. He says when the surgeon went in to remove it, the surgeon later called and said they couldn’t find anything—there was nothing there, it was gone. The doctor reportedly said the only explanation was that it was a miracle: no cancer, zero, gone.
Pastor Leonard praises God and says he looks forward to hearing testimonies from England, the Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Texas, Illinois, and more, because that is on his heart.
He closes his main teaching by encouraging listeners to keep hearing about Jesus, keep their eyes on Jesus, and grow in understanding how much He loves them. He instructs that when faith rises, come into agreement with it, get up, do what faith instructs, and faith will energize and take over.
Communion With Pastor Lori: Participation in Christ’s Body and Blood
Pastor Lori comes on for communion and begins by saying it is time for communion and time to celebrate. She cites First Corinthians 10:16: “The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?”
She and Pastor Leonard react with joy and gratitude at being able to participate in the body of Christ. Pastor Lori thanks God that we get to participate and connects it to healing: that Christ’s body was broken so that our bodies can be healed and whole.
She then speaks about the cup and again emphasizes participation in the blood of Christ. She thanks Jesus that because of His blood, we are washed white as snow and made righteous with God’s righteousness. She repeats gratitude for participation and thanks Jesus for His blood.
They close by expressing love for the listeners, saying they are praying, they are ready to rejoice, and they are anticipating testimonies. Pastor Leonard asks if there are any closing words, and Pastor Lori responds that they are anticipating testimonies because that is what God does. She expresses excitement and says it is going to be a great year, and already is a great year, and they say they will see everyone again in a couple of days.
Thank you for reading this teaching. We hope this article blessed you and encouraged your heart to keep hearing about Jesus, keeping your eyes on Him, and growing in the understanding of how much He loves you. If this message helped you, please share it with someone who needs encouragement, and feel free to share your testimony so others can be strengthened as well.
