Introduction and the Importance of Following the Holy Spirit
Pastor Leonard Rola opens the discussion by introducing Donna Monado Krauss and describing her testimony as an amazing journey led by the Holy Spirit. He explains that believers should desire to be led by God rather than by human effort or fear-driven works. Pastor Lenny and Pastor Lori welcome viewers and set the stage for Donna to share details of her diagnosis, the challenges she faced, and the decisions she made with God's guidance.
Pastor Lenny emphasizes that following the peace of God is essential and that every believer should seek the Holy Spirit's leading in difficult situations.
Helping a Friend with Cancer and Receiving an Alternative Protocol
Donna begins by sharing that in December of 2024, she was helping a friend whose wife had died from ovarian cancer. The friend himself had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and refused traditional treatment after witnessing what his wife endured.
Donna connected him with an alternative practitioner named Tony Jean Copinsky, a twenty-year kidney cancer survivor who devoted her life to helping others while honoring God. Donna accompanied her friend through multiple consultations and assisted him with shopping and implementing the protocol.
After several appointments, Tony Jean unexpectedly offered the protocol to Donna herself, telling her she might someday need it for a loved one or even personally. Donna initially dismissed the possibility because she had already survived cancer once before and believed she would never need it again.
Donna’s Earlier Cancer Battle and Initial Symptoms
Donna reveals that she previously battled cancer twenty-six years earlier when she was thirty-five years old. That earlier experience left her traumatized with debilitating fear and panic attacks.
Shortly after her son became engaged, Donna began experiencing pain and swelling near her pectoral muscle while working out with a trainer. Unlike her first cancer experience, where she found a hard lump, this swelling felt pliable and painful.
Initially, she believed the injury was workout-related or connected to nerve damage from open-heart surgery she underwent in 2023. Her general practitioner suspected a hematoma and attempted to order an MRI, but insurance complications delayed the process for months.
Diagnosis of Triple Negative Breast Cancer
Eventually, Donna visited her former radiologist and then her breast surgeon. On March 27th, she was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer in her right breast. The surgeon informed her that surgery could not be done first because the tumor was too large and attached to the pectoral muscle. Chemotherapy was recommended immediately.
Donna was diagnosed only three weeks before her son’s wedding. She decided not to tell most people because she did not want to overshadow the wedding or burden her family emotionally. A PET scan later revealed the cancer had not spread beyond her breast and a few lymph nodes. Her surgeon warned her the treatment process could involve approximately eighteen months of chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy.
Refusing Fear and Choosing Peace
Donna explains that despite the frightening diagnosis, she sensed the Lord leading her toward the alternative protocol she had previously received. When her doctor warned that tumors could be forming throughout her body, she refused to accept fear-driven statements. Instead, she declared that she would not make decisions based on fear.
Pastor Lenny repeatedly emphasizes throughout the discussion that Donna was following the peace of God rather than panic or external pressure.
Donna prayed and surrendered her life fully to God, declaring that whether she was healed on earth or entered eternity with Christ, victory belonged to her through Jesus.
Wrestling with Medical Decisions and Alternative Treatments
Donna describes watching many testimonies and teachings about alternative healing and supernatural recovery. During that process, she heard one practitioner explain that certain aggressive cancers sometimes require chemotherapy alongside alternative therapies because the immune system may not respond quickly enough.
When Donna heard her specific cancer type mentioned, she became deeply unsettled and asked God whether He was speaking to her through this warning. She prayed honestly, telling God she desired supernatural healing but was willing to obey Him if additional treatment was necessary.
Pastor Lenny highlights that Donna was not placing God in a box. Instead, she remained surrendered to God’s will and open to His leading.
Understanding Faith, Fear, and God’s Grace
Pastor Lenny discusses how many believers are condemned by legalistic teachings that suggest any fear or doubt disqualifies them from receiving healing. He references the father of the demon-possessed child who admitted both belief and unbelief to Jesus.
Mark 9:23-24- “And Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.”
Pastor Lenny explains that the man’s honesty did not disqualify him from receiving a miracle. He also shares the importance of approaching God honestly and boldly under grace.
Hebrews 4:16- “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Donna admits that although fear attempted to rise, she consciously chose faith instead of allowing fear to dominate her life as it had during her earlier cancer battle. Pastor Lenny defines faith not as striving or forcing results but as walking in agreement with God and being led by His peace.
The Cancer Progresses Outward
By June, Donna’s condition visibly worsened. Lesions formed on the outside of her breast that became painful, bleeding, and frightening. She returned to her radiologist, who performed advanced imaging. The doctors discovered something unusual: the cancer had expanded outward instead of deeper inward into her body.
One doctor became emotional and repeatedly encouraged Donna to keep looking to God, declaring that God was with her and that she would overcome the disease. At that moment, Donna believed God was confirming that it was time to incorporate targeted chemotherapy into her treatment plan.
Doctors Confirm Hope and Recommend Targeted Chemo
Donna visited the Proton Center and later connected with specialists through Memorial Sloan Kettering. Although her condition was considered locally advanced, doctors still believed surgery could become possible if the tumor shrank sufficiently. She requested the least amount of chemotherapy necessary to make surgery possible.
From September 12th through December 5th, Donna underwent chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The treatments were extremely difficult physically. She experienced hair loss, neuropathy, blood transfusions, nail damage, and many side effects. Yet throughout the process, she maintained peace.
Before every treatment, Donna asked nurses to place the medications on the table so she and her husband could lay hands on them and pray over them. She declared that the drugs would accomplish their intended purpose under God’s blessing. One nurse even responded by saying, “Amen.”
Walking Through Chemotherapy with Peace
During treatment, Donna secretly cared for her parents while battling cancer herself. Her mother experienced severe complications after hip replacement surgery, and her father became seriously ill as well. Despite carrying tremendous responsibilities, Donna continued to trust God and rest in His peace.
Pastor Lenny remarks that sometimes not sharing every detail with others can help preserve mental focus and prevent additional fear from outside voices.
Surgery Preparations and Unexpected Results
After chemotherapy, Donna underwent another PET scan. The cancer remained localized with no metastasis. Doctors scheduled surgery for January 5th. Her surgeon warned her that she likely would lose her breast and encouraged her not to read discouraging medical portal reports.
Donna accepted the possibility and trusted God regardless of the outcome. The surgery was expected to take approximately two and a half hours but lasted four and a half hours instead. Ten days later, her surgeon personally called her with shocking news.
A Pathological Complete Response
The surgeon explained that during surgery she struggled to find disease inside Donna’s body. As tissue was removed, only healthy tissue and scar tissue appeared. Eventually, pathology reports confirmed a PCR — a pathological complete response.
The surgeon explained that Donna had been given only a five percent chance of responding to the limited chemotherapy regimen she chose. Yet her cancer had gone from stage 3C to stage zero with no evidence of disease remaining. Pastor Lenny praises Jesus repeatedly during this section as Donna emotionally recounts the miracle.
Doctors Declare a Divine Miracle
Donna later asked her oncologist whether there was any medical explanation for what happened. Her oncologist answered directly that there was absolutely no scientific explanation.
The doctor told Donna: “This was a divine miracle from heaven above the science and above the medicine.” The oncologist explained that Donna had not received enough treatment medically for such a dramatic result to occur naturally. All previously planned follow-up treatments were canceled because there was no remaining evidence of disease.
Learning God’s Love and Resting in Him
Pastor Lenny asks Donna what role understanding God’s love and righteousness played in her healing journey.
Donna admits that deep inside she never truly believed she was worthy of having her prayers answered because of emotional wounds and feelings of brokenness. However, during this journey, she began to truly understand God’s unconditional love.
The scripture that repeatedly ministered to her was Isaiah 30:15.
Isaiah 30:15- “For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.”
Donna explains that learning to rest in God completely transformed her perspective. Instead of striving constantly, she learned to be still and trust Him.
A Prophetic Dream from Donna’s Father
Donna then shares an emotional story about her father, who did not know about her diagnosis. One day, after waking from a nap, he told her about a dream in which doctors repeatedly examined her on a medical table and then announced she no longer had cancer. He lovingly told her, “Isn’t that wonderful?”
Donna later realized every detail of his dream matched what happened during her lengthy surgery, when doctors searched extensively for disease but could not find any. She views the dream as a prophetic confirmation from God.
Final Encouragement from Pastors Lenny and Lori
Pastor Lenny concludes by leaving viewers with three central truths:
First, understand how deeply God loves you. Nothing can make Him love you more or less.
Second, through faith in Jesus Christ, believers have been made completely righteous and fully qualified for God’s blessings.
Third, follow the leading and peace of the Holy Spirit rather than merely following the pressure or opinions of people.
Pastor Lori and Donna join Pastor Lenny in encouraging viewers to seek God’s peace and trust His guidance.
