Teaching summary

In “GLORIFIED PART 2,” Pastors Leonard and Lori Rola teach that the transfiguration of Jesus reveals the same inner glory deposited within every believer at the moment of being born again. They explain that the Greek word for *transfigured* (metamorphoō) appears only three times in Scripture, and each instance shows the believer’s inner glorification. The sermon emphasizes renewing the mind to New Covenant truths so that this inner glory can manifest outwardly in healing, transformation, and supernatural living. The pastors encourage believers to see themselves exactly as God sees them—righteous, holy, complete, and glorified in Christ.

Bible verses referenced

Mark 9:2 3- “And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can whiten them.”

Romans 12:2- “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

2 Corinthians 3:18- “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Hebrews 10:2- (Referenced in teaching) “For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.”

Introduction and Gratitude for Support

Pastor Leonard opens by expressing his hope that the first part of the message blessed the listeners and increased their understanding of proper hermeneutics and context. He thanks the audience sincerely for all they do to keep the ministry alive and growing. He emphasizes that this message of grace, righteousness, and glorification must be shared widely because many of God’s children are still living under bondage.

The Bondage of Legalism and the Need for Grace Revelation

Pastor Leonard states that many believers still live under the bondage of legalism and the law because they do not understand the truth of their righteousness and their glorification in Christ. He stresses that people need to hear the true gospel of grace so they can be free from these burdens and see who they truly are in Christ.

Reading of Mark 9:2–3 – The Transfiguration of Jesus

Pastor Lori reads the passage describing Jesus taking Peter, James, and John to a high mountain where He was transfigured. The pastors highlight the dramatic change in Jesus’ appearance, particularly His garments becoming white beyond anything earthly bleaching could produce.

They reference:

Mark 9:2-3- “And after six days Jesus took with him Peter, and James, and John, and led them up into a high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can whiten them.”

Pastor Leonard uses a humorous example about laundry detergents and whitening agents to contrast the supernatural brightness of Jesus’ appearance against human effort, emphasizing that nothing on earth could have produced such glory.

Why Jesus Revealed His Inner Glory to the Disciples

He explains that Jesus wanted the disciples—who were not yet born again—to witness the glory inside Him. After Jesus’ resurrection and the coming new birth, the same glory would later be deposited in them. Jesus wanted them to remember this moment so they could understand their own glorified identity when born again.

The Greek Word “Transfigured

Pastor Leonard notes that the word “transfigured” is used only three times in the entire Bible. It appears in:

  1. Mark 9:2
  2. Romans 12:2
  3. 2 Corinthians 3:18

He explains the importance of comparing all three passages because doing so reveals the believer’s inner glorification.

Romans 12:2 – Transformation Through Renewing the Mind

Pastor Lori reads a modern translation, and Pastor Leonard explains that many translations say:

Romans 12:2- “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” He explains that “conformed to this world” also means not being shaped by the age of the law, since Paul is contrasting covenants. Renewing the mind to New Covenant truths—righteousness, holiness, completeness, perfection—causes transformation.

He stresses: “You have to think accordingly to the New Covenant of grace and new creation realities.”

The New Covenant Versus the Old Covenant

Pastor Leonard explains that while the whole Bible is true, God deals with people through covenants. The Old Covenant of law is not the covenant believers are under today. Believers are under the New Covenant of grace.

Misunderstanding the differences between these covenants is the root cause of doctrinal confusion, guilt, and legalistic bondage.

Identity: New Nature, New DNA, and Righteousness

He teaches that believers are no longer sinners because the old sinful nature was crucified and buried with Christ. They have been raised with Him and given His righteousness, His holiness, and His very nature. Believers now possess the DNA of the Heavenly Father and their Brother Jesus Christ.

He quotes the principle from Scripture: “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation.”

Hebrews 10 and Freedom From Sin Consciousness

Pastor Leonard explains that although believers may sin, renewing the mind to righteousness helps reduce the hold of sin. More importantly, when a believer does sin, God does not want them to dwell in guilt.

He cites:

Hebrews 10:2- “For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.”

He teaches that God purges the believer’s conscience of sin, and they must refuse to live in sin consciousness. Instead, they should live in righteousness consciousness.

Transformation Manifesting Outwardly—Healing and Miracles

Pastor Leonard explains that the word “transformed” in Romans 12:2 is the same Greek word as “transfigured” in Mark 9:2. This means the inner glory of the believer manifests more as the mind is renewed.

When this inner glory permeates the body, healing and miracles happen. This is why understanding identity and renewing the mind are essential.

2 Corinthians 3:18 – The Veil Removed and True Reflection

Pastor Lori reads the passage about the veil being removed when turning to Christ. Pastor Leonard points out that Paul says the veil remains whenever the law is read. Only through Christ—and only under grace—is the veil removed.

He quotes: 2 Corinthians 3:18- “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

He teaches that “beholding as in a glass” means seeing Jesus like looking into a mirror—and the reflection reveals your true self. The more believers see this truth, the more they are transformed.

Metamorphosis Explained—The Caterpillar and Butterfly

The Greek word “metamorphoō” is where we get the word “metamorphosis.” Pastor Leonard uses the example of a caterpillar spinning a cocoon and emerging as a beautiful monarch butterfly.

This natural transformation is a picture of what happens in the believer’s spirit at the moment of salvation. The glory is already within, and renewing the mind allows it to manifest outwardly.

Living Transformed by Seeing Yourself as God Sees You

Pastor Lori emphasizes imagining life if believers simply agreed with what God already believes about them:

Seeing yourself the way God sees you
Believing in yourself, what
He believes in viewing yourself through Christ and His finished work

They teach that this perspective is life-changing and leads to supernatural living.

Closing Encouragement and Invitation to Support the Ministry

Pastor Leonard closes by encouraging viewers to share the message with others. He reminds the audience that the ministry shares teachings every Monday at 9:00 a.m. and desires to expand to more channels and times. This expansion requires funding, and he invites listeners to partner with the ministry. They express their love
